About the Role

As our Bartender, you'll be at the heart of our bar operation, creating exceptional drinks, engaging with customers, and maintaining the vibrant atmosphere that keeps our guests coming back. Key Responsibilities

Drink Preparation & Service

Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
Mix classic cocktails and house specialties to established recipes
Maintain consistent drink quality and presentation standards
Serve customers promptly and efficiently during busy periods
Upsell premium spirits and specialty drinks
Handle special drink requests and dietary requirements

Customer Service Excellence

Provide friendly, professional service to all customers
Engage with customers and create a welcoming atmosphere
Handle customer queries and complaints professionally
Check ID and ensure responsible service of alcohol
Build rapport with regular customers
Maintain awareness of customer needs throughout their visit

Bar Operations

Keep bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked
Maintain inventory levels and inform management of stock requirements
Handle cash and card payments accurately
Operate POS systems and process transactions
Follow all licensing laws and responsible service guidelines
Assist with opening and closing procedures when scheduled

Teamwork & Support

Work collaboratively with other bar staff and servers
Support colleagues during busy periods
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff for food orders
Maintain professional standards during shift handovers

Essential Requirements

Skills & Experience

Previous bartending or bar experience preferred but not essential
Basic knowledge of cocktails, beers, wines, and spirits
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Strong customer service skills and friendly personality
Good communication and interpersonal abilities
Basic numeracy skills for handling payments

Working Hours & Flexibility

Typical Shifts Available:

Evening shifts: 6pm - 11pm or 7pm - 12am
Weekend shifts: Various times including daytime
Friday/Saturday nights (our busiest periods)
Special event shifts when available

Minimum Commitment:

16-20 hours per week
Must be available for at least one weekend shift per week
Flexibility to cover additional shifts during busy periods or staff holidays
